2. Pace Palo Alto
The Silicon Valley outpost of the famed New York gallery by Marc Glimcher seeks to educate and curate the next generation of art lovers and collectors with shows and personal attention. Its initial show of digital art by Japan’s teamLab collective drew 200,000 visitors. Other noteworthy shows have included the global debut of Northern California-born artist Loie Hollowell and a Picasso retrospective that continues through Feb. 20. 229 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto, 650.561.4076, pacegallery.com
3. Simon Breitbard Fine Arts
Stephanie Breitbard became an art adviser in 2007 after friends admired the art in her home and asked for help collecting their own. With partner Evie Simon, she opened shop in San Francisco and branched out to Menlo Park last year. Services include a trip to the client’s home, a gallery tour, mockups of how the artwork will look in the home, and delivery and installation. The 1,500-square-foot showroom is decked out like a residential setting to help clients envision the possibilities in their own. 779 Santa Cruz Ave., Menlo Park, 650.391.9091, sbfinearts.com
