Step back in time with the film Streetwise, a film that documents the kids of Seattle's streets in 1984. What began as a photo essay in Life magazine expanded to become a poignant and harrowing slice of life that still rings true in too many parts of the country. Two screenings take place, Friday at 4:50 p.m. and Saturday at 3:45 p.m. Friday at 9 p.m. also brings a showing of Caligula: The Ultimate Cut, should you like a very surreal double feature indeed.

Rocks Dog Park might be one of the most beautiful dog parks in the country, with cliffside sea vistas and a zen garden atmosphere, making it the perfect place to mark International Dog Day with a special dog adoption program. Come Sunday, the park will host adoptable dogs from Rocket Dog Rescue, giving away complimentary treats and toys for the first 100 attendees. A dog psychic will also be on hand, should you want to get a bit more info on what you're new dog is thinking.
