With fashion trends changing faster than the Kardashians’ relationship statuses, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest and greatest.
Pun very much intended.
Lucky for you, we’ve connected with fashion guru, Noelle Sciacca, who knows what’s hot and what’s not in the ever-evolving world of fashion.

As the Senior Fashion Lead at The RealReal, the world’s largest online marketplace for resale luxury goods, Noelle oversees the company’s editorial strategies for the women's, fine jewelry, and home categories.
In turn, she has her finger on the pulse of the luxury consignment industry, all while raising awareness of and supporting the circular economy.
We sat down with Noelle for the inside scoop on what trends TheRealReal is seeing for #hotgirlsummer.
Crescent-shaped bags are the ‘it’ bag right now. Many brands have introduced the half-moon shape we’re seeing everywhere; Louis Vuitton, for example, recently debuted the Loop style, which has been incredibly popular. On The RealReal, we offer these current, more recently debuted styles, along with styles longer found on the primary market, like this Dior bag and the Louis Vuitton Croissant.
The Y2K dress is back and is an easy one and done for summer. Look for details reminiscent of the early 2000s: lace trim, ruffles, chiffon, handkerchief hemlines, and cowl and halter necklines. On The RealReal, we have some amazing vintage options; I’m particularly into this vintage Alexander McQueen from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2001 collection. We have so many chic options to shop which is great since shoppers are seriously seeking vintage - searches for the category are up 39% this year compared to last!

Speaking of lace trim, remember lace trim camis that everyone wore back in the day? That trim treatment is certainly making a modern comeback this season. Look for the detail on tops, dresses, and skirts.

The cropped cardigan that's been popular for the last few seasons gets even tinier as we take inspiration from the early aughts shrug. It has made an appearance on recent runways - Brandon Maxwell and Prabal Gurung amongst others - and is ideal for summer dressing.

Brands like Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Dior, for example, have recently released chokers reminiscent of the early 90s. Certainly, a trend we’ve been seeing ahead of this summer, search demand for chokers is up 15% this year compared to last.
