As fashion and society shift toward a more casual condition, so too do our wardrobes. Everyday suiting is now rendered in state-of-the-art wools; the sneaker reigns supreme; and sports often influence fashion houses, resulting in high-end designs with an athletic touch. Yet it’s rare a men’s brand would approach the trend from the opposite direction—creating something purely meant for sports that can be worked into daily wear. Porsche Design and Puma have achieved exactly that with their latest collaboration, which showcases styles such as moisture-wicking running gear alongside some of the sharpest bombers to hit the market in recent memory. The collection blends Porsche Design’s svelte aesthetics—think taped seams and funnel-neck collars on tonal fabrics—with Puma’s athletic expertise, including innovative fabrics that respond to the skin’s temperature and fabrics that create cushioning properties to allow for extra breathability. The real winner is the footwear: A well-balanced selection of sneakers in chunky modern styles and supersleek silhouettes have an air of Puma nostalgia but, clearly, are crafted for the future.
