On Saturday, May 20th, Save the Redwoods League held its Annual Canopy Club Dinner as a thank you to the organization’s most generous supporters. The event was held at Tom-Kat Ranch, the 1,800-acre sustainable farmland founded by Kat Taylor and Tom Steyer in Pescadero along the San Mateo coast. Guests enjoyed a tour of the ranch, led by Kat Taylor and ranch director Wendy Millet, followed by a festive barn dinner. To kick off the evening, Kat Taylor welcomed guests and shared her lifelong personal connection to the redwoods of nearby Sam McDonald Park. Sam Hodder, Save the Redwoods League President and CEO, spoke about the organization’s next century of redwood protection. And keynote speaker Neil Kornze, former Director of the Bureau of Land Management, reflected on the greater global conservation movement. Save the Redwoods League is dedicated to protecting and restoring California’s iconic Redwood forests and Giant Sequoia by connecting people with the Redwood's peace and beauty so that these wonders of the natural world continue to flourish.
