Qatch, a tap-back-driven SMS shopping platform for women, proudly announces model and designer Rocky Barnes as a new advisory board member and brand investor.
Barnes also plans to feature designs from her own clothing line, The Bright Side, on the platform.
Using machine learning to continuously improve fashion suggestions, Qatch scours the internet across 100+ brands like Nordstrom, Macy's, Banana Republic, Free People, and shares them with users via text, like a friend.
Women across the world are taking notice. Since launching in April of 2021, Qatch has seen a click-through rate of 65%, a user retention rate of 95%, and a 50% user base increase month-over-month this last quarter.

“The online shopping experience can be so overwhelming, but Qatch really streamlines recommendations and takes the ‘work’ out of finding the perfect piece to complete a look,” says Barnes.
“While Qatch partners with large retailers, they also host new, niche brands on the platform and promote brands supporting ethical and sustainable design. As an entrepreneur myself, I’m excited to embark on this new chapter of their growth and help women redefine the online shopping experience.”
Sisters Nicole and Raquel Phillips started Qatch out of their mutual frustration of impersonal e-commerce options.
Nicole Phillips, CEO & Co-Founder, has a JD/LLM in fashion law, worked in-house for retail companies, as an editor for fashion publications, and is still an active member of the New York Bar Association's Fashion Law Committee.
Raquel Phillips, Co-Founder & COO has a BS/MSA from Babson College and previously worked for PWC's audit department.
“Raquel and I have admired Rocky’s style and creative direction for years, and it’s a tremendous honor to have her on our advisory board and to share The Bright Side with our audience,” says Nicole.
“Especially amid the pandemic, so many of us have spent hours on our phones trying to find fashion pieces we love when we could spend that time investing in our families and communities. Qatch provides a way to get smart fashion recommendations without the typical time investment.”
Qatch also invites college students who live out the Qatch mission to become Qatch social media ambassadors through its “Qatch Me On Campus” program.
This program encourages ambassadors to post about the styles they found on the platform, and the most recent cohort consists of 40 ambassadors at 20 colleges across the country.
How to Use Qatch:
1. Take the style quiz online: Qatch’s three-minute style quiz can save users hours of shopping. Users tell Qatch which outfits they love, their go-to brands, and share their Instagram so a real-life stylist can complete their look.
2. Interact with taps: Qatch texts users ten fashion recommendations each week, and they can share feedback through a simple Heart, Thumbs up, or Thumbs down response to each product. The more they interact, the quicker Qatch learns their style.
3. Get inspired by others: The Instagram social media integration allows Qatch to recommend pieces the user’s favorite influencers like or buy. For example, a user can see what Rocky has liked on Qatch, almost as if you’re following her around shopping - but view it in a personal, private and authentic setting.
