Pizza Antica’s three-cheese pizza with shaved broccoli, caramelized onion and crispy pancetta.
Pizza and pasta lovers, rejoice: After a four-month renovation, Pizza Antica has reopened at Santana Row. The closure allowed the restaurant to expand—adding 900 square feet, for a total of 4,000—and undergo an aesthetic overhaul, from the floors and linen-wrapped walls to the furniture and original artwork from Lost Art Salon.
While the restaurant’s look has changed, the menu has stayed much the same. Dig into burrata accompanied by roasted tomatoes, fennel, lemon and capers; a seasonal BLT chopped salad of applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, hard-cooked egg, croutons and Dijon vinaigrette; potato and ricotta gnocchi with pesto, in a pool of sun-dried tomato cream; and a savory pie with one of Pizza Antica’s popular combination of toppings—including a pizza with local Brentwood corn, a summer favorite, while you can!—or of your own delectable creation.
The long lines confirm that the neighborhood is thrilled to have this place back. And, now, you can pass the time waiting for a table at its brand-new cocktail bar.
