It's a Wrap The Asian Art Museum’s Art+Fashion gala drew guests for a night of dining and dancing.
The Party The gala, chaired by Michele Alioto, had guests mingling over Kimono Refashioned, an exhibit with pieces lent by the Kyoto Costume Institute, and another one-night show of works by seven modern-day fashion designers including Andrew Gn, Victor Tung and Juun J. The Guests Supporters such as venture capitalist Ram Shriram and his wife, Vijay, Gorretti and Lawrence Lui and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang and Akiko Yamazaki were joined by younger donors such as YouTube co-founder Steve Chen and his wife, Jamie; former Twitter CEO Evan Williams and his wife, Sara; Boba Guys co-founders Andrew Chau and Bin Chen; and Tatcha skincare founder and CEO Vicky Tsai. The Highlights The fashion quotient was high, but event committee members upped the ante with a runway show (in the dinner tent) of filmy, princess-like gowns by DAN Haute Couture, a dreamy interlude before an afterparty in the museum.
