From perfect dresses to statement necklaces, fashion director Gloria Malouf picks her summer favorites.

Between trips to New York and Milan to curate pieces for Burlingame’s Sam Malouf Authentic Luxury (sammalouf.com), Gloria Malouf is a road warrior. When she’s home on the peninsula, the brand’s fashion director adores summer entertaining—and alfresco dining—with family and friends. “I’m looking forward to offering more unique experiences in the store with private dinners and trunk shows with key vendors and designers as well as offsite experiences,” says Malouf, who notes the boutique now carries pieces from Jil Sander (jilsander.com), Missoni (missoni.com), Khaite (khaite.com) and Y Project (yproject.fr).

Her summer style? “I love summer whites and neutrals like my favorite Toteme (toteme-stuido.com) crinkle dress—it’s so easy for travel—or anything white or neutral from Brunello Cucinelli (brunellocucinelli.com) that can take me from day to evening,” says Malouf. “And I love anything turquoise, like my Ali Grace (aligracejewelry.com) pendant I never take off.”

For dinner parties, Malouf adores stopping by Woodside’s Emily Joubert (emilyjoubert.com) or Anthem (anthemsf.online) for last-minute table additions. “And if I want a special cut of meat, I always trust Olivier’s Butchery (oliviersbutchery.com) in SF. I think the only place I’ve seen a female butcher, and the quality and cuts are precise,” she says. For nights out, Malouf’s can’t-miss spot is SF’s Flour + Water (flourandwater.com).

While work finds her in the air quite a bit, this trendsetter says the summer ahead promises lots of family time. “My middle daughter starts her first semester in college in Florence, so we’ll enjoy our family vacation together in Europe two weeks before sending her off,” says Malouf, who offers her picks for a sensational summer.
