THE PROGRAM:
“Breath Silenced”
Choreographed and Performed by: Hannah McNany
Music: "Atomos XIV" by A Winged Victory for the Sullen

“Living Room Stories”
Choreography: Katherine House
Music: Various songs by Library Tapes
Growing up is HARD. Living Room Stories explores adolescence, and specifically the experience of my own teenage years. The difficult moments that play a huge role into forming who we become as adults can get buried in our consciousness; I know there are parts of my coming of age story that I've tried to forget. This work delves into what happens when we un-bury and dig up the memories that tried to lock themselves away in our brain.

Untitled
Choreography: Kelisha Gardeen
Music: Original recordings created by the choreographer
A duet inspired by my relationship with my twin sister along the lines of struggling to discover our own identities as we grew. It can transcend to really any relationship in life - i.e. relationships that kind of make you question what it is that you actually truly want (as opposed to following the wants and desires of someone else).

Untitled
Choreography: Frankie Rivera
Music: Johann Johannsson
Dancers: Catherine Hsu, Dani Galvez and Jesse Egbert
No one is angrier than a woman who has been rejected in love. This proverb is adapted from a line in the play The Mourning Bride, by William Congreve, an English author of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries.

“The Promise”
Choreography: Domonic Duong
Music: Dustin Hart
Dancers: Dominic Duong & Anthony Pickering

"When in Doubt” from Diablo Ballet
Choreography: Robert Dekkers
Commissioned score: Jacob Wolkenhauer
Costume design: Jan Berletti
The premiere date was July, 2012 at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco for Post:Ballet

The original score created for 'When in Doubt' integrates the voices of tonight's performing artists with the words of dancers from previous performances of the piece. By integrating the words of past and present dancers into the score, the piece remain alive, weaving together an audial and visual tapestry of self-expression, intimacy, and connectedness.

“Don Quixote” 2nd Act Pas de Deux (Windmill Scene)
Original Choreography: Marius Petipa, Imperial Bollshoi Theatre, 1869
Staging: Lauren Jonas, Diablo Ballet Artistic Director
Music: Ludwig Minkus
Diablo Ballet premiere: Feb 3, 2017 at the Del Valle Theatre, Walnut Creek, CA

Kitri and Basilio flee to a friendly gypsy camp, where they have found refuge. They are inspired Description: http://www.abt.org/education/archive/ballets/resources/dot_clear.gifby the romance of the night and dance a flirtatious pas de deux knowing that they belong to one another.
