Stylish chairs help to entertain and distract children during haircuts.

Chic Snips

Carolyne Zinko Carolyne Zinko | March 26, 2019 | Story Now In

Silicon Valley 4-year-olds are accustomed to mani-pedis and foot massages, so corporate moms Sneha Bhavan (Oracle, Yahoo and Visa) and Reyna Patel (Logicalis, a global IT provider) have given tots a salon of their own with Pigtails & Crewcuts (a quarter-mile from the home where the late Steve Jobs was raised). While some tech parents shun the $53 for shampoo, cut and blow-dry in favor of Supercuts, others are embracing Pigtails’ books, movies, toys, video games and chairs shaped like fire trucks (that distract tykes from pointy scissors), as well as the 10-haircut package ($295.95). 2310 Homestead Road, Ste. C, Los Altos, 408.962.0400
