It's time to hit the links. Find the best golf courses in Silicon Valley.
As the name would suggest, this 27-hole course is tucked among rolling green hills, just outside Silicon Valley’s hustle and bustle. Designed by the late John Harbottle III and opened in 1998, Cinnabar Hills was San Jose’s first public course in 30 years. There are six sets of tees, each designed for a different skill level, but all with the same gorgeous views. Visitors may also enjoy a meal at the restaurant and grill, while golf fanatics can check out the Lee Brandenburg Historical Golf Museum, located inside the clubhouse. 23600 McKean Road, San Jose
Born of a collaboration between PGA TOUR Pro Fred Couples and renowned course architect Gene Bates, San Juan Oaks is set in the quiet foothills south of the Valley. With 18 holes, the course features native grasses and scenic waters, and even stretches over 150 feet above the valley to grant golfers the perfect view as they play. The practice facilities, snack bar and pro shop round out the club, so players have everything they need for a successful game. 3825 Union Road, Hollister
With nearly 1,700 acres of space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, CordeValle has room for it all. Their 7,360-yard championship golf course was self-appointed by acclaimed golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. as his finest creation. The course features all the beauty of Northern California, with tree-spotted meadows, creeks and canyons. And with a clubhouse, wellness spa, fitness facilities, outdoor pool, winery and tennis center, the rest of the resort leaves no box unchecked. 1 CordeValle Club Dr., San Martin
Whether you’re hitting with the best of them or just there to have fun, Coyote Creek has a course for you. Their two 18-hole courses, both designed by golf luminary Jack Nicklaus, keep all skill levels in mind. The Tournament Course, perfect for experienced golfers, features complex holes, four lakes and two waterfalls. The Valley Course, by contrast, is designed for any skill level. The club also features a bar and grill, where golfers can sit out on the patio and enjoy classic American fare while looking out over the rose garden. 1 Coyote Creek Golf Drive, Morgan Hill
Established in 1899, the San Jose Country Club features the fourth oldest golf course in California. With 18 holes overlooking Silicon Valley, the club offers a competitive environment in a private golf community. Members can also enjoy a dynamic, family friendly social environment with events and top-notch dining options. From elegant dining rooms to the on-course Snack Shack, the club has the right bite for anytime. And if golf wasn’t enough, their Olympic size pool offers another option for a fun day under the California sun. 15571 Alum Rock Ave., San Jose
The golf course at Silver Creek Valley was crafted to fit into the oak trees, native grasses and wetlands of the surrounding area. Renovated by award-winning architect Mike Strantz in 2002, the 18-hole course is suitable for both novices and seasoned players. The club also provides a driving range, short game area, practice putting greens and their golf shop. Members also have access to dining options, a fully-staffed fitness center, two swimming pools and a tennis stadium. Plus, with an events calendar packed with golf competitions and socials for the whole family, there’s no shortage of things to do. 5460 Country Club Pkwy, San Jose
