The California Peninsula Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, is a 501(c)6, non-profit trade association established in 1975, comprised of over 400 professional interior designers, educators, industry partners and student members. The Chapter’s region extends north to South San Francisco and includes: San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties. ASID is a community of people — designers, industry representatives, educators and students — committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, we strive to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives.
Annually, ASID California Peninsula Chapter selects a community service project in their region. This year, the Board of Directors committed to support the fundraising efforts of the Valle Monte League’s Christmas Tree Elegance event. A Project Committee was formed and chaired by Teresa R. Pollard, ASID, CID as lead designer and committee members: Jackie Bartlett, IP ASID, Ann Flynn, Allied ASID, Victoria Nazloo, Allied ASID, Kaitlyn Pinson, Allied ASID, Sue Ross, Allied ASID and Mr. Larry Perez, IP ASID, All Natural Stone, San Jose, Kevin and Sharon Daroca, IP ASID and an anonymous fabrication donor. The Committee executed a Christmas Tree Vignette that included a Silver Tip tree decorated with LED lights, authentic replicas English castle ornaments and an array of gold, silver, crystal and jewel ornaments and topped with a bejeweled Crown. The tree was complimented with a tufted designer leather chair, custom couture fabric tree skirt, faux snow leopard throw, custom union jack pillow, sheep throws and a glamorous jewelry armoire floor mirror. Design, procurement of ornaments, furnishings and accessories were all provided by ASID California Peninsula Chapter. For more information, click here.
