On March 3, the Bay Area Discovery Museum and Center for Childhood Creativity hosted their annual Creativity Forum luncheon at the Fairmont San Francisco. This year's event featured speaker Scott Barry Kaufman, scientific director of the Imagination Institute in the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania and author of Wired to Create: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind. Kaufman presented his latest neuroscience and psychology research on developing and fostering creativity in children and adults in his talk entitled "The Science of Creativity," which was followed by a moderated question and answer session. The Creativity Forum was a successful and insightful event, promoting creative thinking as a critical 21st century skill and raising funds to support the Museum's work in early childhood education and efforts to close the achievement gap before it begins.
