Comfort Zone (exist) - 1

Laura Ness | September 26, 2018 | Food & Drink Story Eat and Drink

What was formerly the First & Main Sports Lounge is now The Post—a bright, inviting and family-friendly space that specializes in upscale comfort food, with a few large-screen TVs as well. (If you go way back, this was the site of the town post office in days of yore.) Victoria Breslin, previously an eight-year employee of First & Main, melded two adjacent properties into a venue with a cozy “Cheers meets diner” feel, she says.

Sip on craft cocktails, beer or wine as you nosh on Small Stamps menu items like cheesy cauliflower wings and buttermilk-battered shisito peppers. Green Stamps go-tos include the hearty Cubano sandwich and an over-the-top crab mac ’n’ cheese. Corkage is waived on your first bottle if you’re dining here, while subsequent bottles are just $20. Happy hour is served in the bar area from 4 till 7:03pm daily—those three minutes really count for something here. 395 Main St., Los Altos, 650.935.2003
