With only 14 in the world, Andaz Hotels by Hyatt are relaxed, upscale sanctuaries that revel in unique design and hyperlocal experiences. Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa, which opened in December, is no exception, and features 201 bungalow-style guest rooms, including The Retreat, an exclusive cluster of 23 poolside rooms and one of three premier suites that amount to a resort within the resort.

The modern interior of the hotel is heavily influenced by prominent artists and designers of the Southwest, and an extensive selection of curated cultural experiences await guests through a partnership with nearby Cattle Track. A stay at the Andaz could include a printmaking demonstration with artist Brent Bond, a drawing workshop with Mark McDowell or the chance to observe Mary Van Dusen create ceramics.

“Cattle Track is an inspiration, as it embodies important, quality work from local artists and truly defines the art and culture scene in Scottsdale,” says General Manager Scott Mason. “The resort will provide a platform for artists to share their craft and inspire guests’ and locals’ own creativity.” (And a reminder to baseball fans: The Giants and A’s are both in town in March for spring training.)

Guest rooms from $350 per night; premier suites from $2,500 per night.
